The opponent can escape with a single successful grapple check or an Escape Artist check, but the mind flayer gets a +2 circumstance bonus for every tentacle that was attached at the beginning of the opponent’s turn.Mind Blast (Sp): This is the equivalent of a 4th-level spell.
PSIONIC MIND FLAYERSIf you are using Psionics Unleashed from Dreamscarred Press, make the following changes to the mind flayer’s stats.The mind flayer gains the (psionic) subtype.Psi-Like Abilities (ML 9th, concentration +14): These replace the mind flayer’s spell-like abilities.At will - Compelling voice (4 targets, DC 20), defy gravity, empathic connection (all types, 9 days, DC 20), mind blast (60 ft. cone, Will DC 19 negates, stunned for 3d4 rounds), read thoughts (DC 20), planar travelSkills: Replace the mind flayer’s ranks in Knowledge (arcana) with ranks in Knowledge (psionics).Mind Blast (Ps): This is the equivalent of a 4th-level power.
